 To be eligible for a Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational qualificationYou must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university for a 1-year BPEd. For a 2-year BPEd, you must have completed 10+2 (higher secondary education) from a recognized board. 
  • Minimum marksYou must have secured at least 45% to 50% marks in the qualifying examination. 
  • Age limitYou should typically be 17–25 years old. 
  • Medical fitnessYou must be medically fit and free from any deformity. 
  • Sports and games participationYou must have participated in sports and games competitions, such as inter-college, inter-zonal, district, or school competitions. 
  • Teaching experienceYou must have at least three years of teaching experience if you are a trained physical education teacher or coach. 
    Who is eligible for BPEd?
    Bachelors Degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the inter college/inter zonal/ district/school competition in sports and games as recognized by AIU/IOA/SGFI/Government of India.

    Candidates seeking admission to B. P. Ed Degree course should be below 26 years of age, 28 years age for SC/ST and Cat-I, as on 1St July of the year of admission.
